NBA
New York Knicks star RJ Barrett signs a long term extension with the team. Barrett and the Knicks have agreed on a four year rookie max extension worth up to $130 million. Barrett is the first Knicks player in over twenty years to sign a long term extension with the team after being drafted in the first round just three years ago.
Barrett was a highly coveted player coming out of Duke in 2019 with great athleticism and character, Barrett has yet to show that he’s as good as the two picks ahead of him {Zion Williamson and Ja Morant} but still has plenty of runway to show that he’s a true superstar in this league.
