NFL Sunday’s biggest takeaways

NFL Sunday was nothing less than spectacular, with some walk off wins to shutouts, week 2 of the season was crazy and the storylines are even crazier. With thirteen games being played between twenty six teams let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from NFL Sunday.

  • The Trey Lance draft pick is looking bad

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance is out for the season with a horrific ankle injury, the same injury Dallas QB Dak Prescott had. It appears the 49ers might have whiffed on this draft selection of Trey Lance especially since he’s out for the season which was the whole reason they were trying to get rid of now starting QB Jimmy Garoppolo. Lance has yet to look the part in his first few starts as the first string QB and we’ll have to wait another year to see what he’s capable off.

  • Bengals are a mess all around

The Cincinnati Bengals may be experiencing a Super Bowl hangover, Mostly on the O-Line. The Bengals spent an enormous amount of assets on the offensive line to protect superstar QB Joe Burrow and it doesn’t look any better than it did a year ago, in the two games the Bengals have played they’ve allowed 13 sacks on Burrow and specifically six sacks last night against the Dallas Cowboys. The Bengals are now a whopping 0-2 to start the season and are on pace to give up a NFL record 111 sacks.

  • Lamar Jackson deserves the extension

PAY THE MAN! With twitter buzzing the last two weeks for the Ravens organization to pay superstar QB Lamar Jackson he’s definitely looking like he deserves it. Jackson and the Ravens put on a show yesterday in the 1 ‘o’ clock window game against the Miami Dolphins but unfortunately for the Ravens their defense couldn’t hold as they gave up 42 points and over 360 yards to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle combined. Lamar did his thing on offense with four total touchdowns and over 350 yards from scrimmage himself, including some great down field passes and a insane 79 yard touchdown run.
