Steelers-Browns thursday night game recapped

With the NFL putting one of the most heated rivalries in the league on Thursday night prime time this had potential to be a great watch and for half of it, it was. The Cleveland Browns won in a glowing fashion 29-17, but the second half of this game was a little slow with both teams scoring a combined 13 points in the second half and only three points in the fourth quarter by the Steelers, but there still were some crazy plays and highlights throughout the game that were spectacular to watch.

Yesterday I previewed this game by giving some betting advice and a possible solution for the Steelers to win this game as they were heavy underdogs for this game {+5.5}, but that solution I gave went out the window as I recommended that the Steelers have to stop the Browns run game in which they did not do that at all but to be fair once the Steelers top corner went out with an injury in the third quarter that’s when the Browns really took this game over.

Newly acquired Browns receiver Amari Cooper is starting to look really good, the former Cowboys wideout was traded to the Browns in a salary dump for a very late round pick in this upcoming draft and wow is this trade looking good for Cleveland thus far. Cooper had a rocky start in week one but these last two games Cooper has really shown why he was once considered a top receiver in this league a few years ago. Amari has now put up back to back games with over 100 receiving yards and a touchdown which he struggled to put up in back to back games like this in Dallas.

Do the Steelers make a quarterback change? Head coach Mike Tomlin says no, with reporters asking Tomlin after the game if he would consider starting rookie Kenny Pickett next week Tomlin shot that idea down rather quickly. Even though the blame is falling mostly on Mitchell Trubisky there were a couple things that went wrong in favor of Trubisky, the Steelers could not block Browns superstar Myles Garrett and the Steelers wideouts had multiple drops in the third quarter when trailing.
