Giants Cowboys Monday night game recapped

Wrapping up week 3 in the NFL season two of America’s biggest teams played on Monday night, the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys with both teams being mediocre at best this game had potential to be a boring stand alone game for the week but it definitely wasn’t. With the Dallas Cowboys having a backup quarterback play in Cooper Rush while Dak Prescott recovers from a hand surgery Rush has played well in his two or so games thus far in the season, leading the Cowboys to a win last week over the Cincinnati Bengals 20-17 and beating the New York Giants last night 23-16 in metlife stadium. Even though this is a small sample size thus far the Cowboys shouldn’t look to rush Dak Prescott back as it looks Cooper Rush is keeping this team afloat.

Going to last night’s game the Cowboys Rush played well completing 21-31 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown, the Cowboys run game also showed up running back tandem Ezeliek Elliot and Tony Pollard combining for over 180 rushing yards on just 28 combined attempts. Dallas wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also had a nice game with eight catches for 87 yards and a beautiful one handed touchdown catch, switching to the Cowboys defense Demarcus Lawerance showed up with three sacks and it really set a tone early in the night.

For the New York Giants you can’t be discouraged if your a Giants fan as the team isn’t what their record is, this isn’t a team who is a playoff team or much like that and last night that showed, this team looks like a at best .500 team who week in and week out give teams trouble with the run game and their defense, speaking of Saquon Barkely I think it’s safe to say he’s officially back, Saquon is leading the league in rushing yard thus far and finished with 81 yards on 14 attempts last night and with a beautiful 36 yard touchdown run.

With all that being said with the Giants their limitations are still at quarterback in Daniel Jones, even though Jones didn’t have a bad game last night he hasn’t shown Giants fans any glimpse of special, Jones last night played well finishing with 20-37 pass attempts and a pick which was a late game heave to save the game.
