Reviewing the Patriots Cardinals Monday night game

As we finish off week 14 of the NFL season, we have the New England Patriots taking on the Arizona Cardinals as both teams work to improve in the win column, and for the New England Patriots to keep their playoff hopes alive. Let’s go through each half of football and give my overall thoughts on the game.

The first quarter was very slow as neither team scored and it was a punt Fest, with the second quarter picking up, the Cardinals scored all of their 13 points in the second quarter, with two field goals and a James Conner rushing touchdown. The Patriots on the other hand scored 10 points with a rushing touchdown and a field goal, with the Patriots leading rusher on Rhamondre Stevenson going down early, the already shaky offense was really going to struggle for the rest of this game.

In the second half it was all about the Patriots as they scored 17 points thanks to a defensive touchdown and another rushing touchdown by their back up running back. With Kyler Murray going down late in the game with a noncontact injury, all the momentum shifted to the Patriots side as they closed off week 14 with the win.

Overall, this was a good game but as the Patriots continue to keep their playoff hopes alive, they look to continue this win streak in week 15 as the Cardinals hope Kyler Murray isn’t done for the season. Patriots advance to 7-6 as the Cardinals drop to 4-9 on the season.
