My NBA top 3 MVP candidates

As we are just about a third through the NBA season, let’s go through my top three NBA MVP candidates and why I think they should be ranked where they are in the most valuable player conversation. I’ll be measuring the MVPs with stats, team, ranking in position, and overall impact on their team when they’re on and off the court.

  1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging a whopping 31 points ,11 rebounds and 5 assists on a Bucks team without another All Star caliber player this season. Even though Giannis isn’t having as good of a season as he usually does, he’s still my MVP favorite, considering where the Bucks are in the standings and what Giannis is doing when he’s on the floor.

  1. Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum is most fans and media members MVPs as of right now but I currently have Tatum second on my list as I don’t consider him the best player in the world, but he is a phenomenal to a player in this league and what he’s doing in the east on the Celtics team is remarkable, Tatum is averaging 30 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists on pretty efficient numbers and playing well on the defensive end. Tatum and the Celtics are most peoples’ picks to get back to the finals this year and that’s largely due to the fact of what Tatum brings to the Celtics in this Boston team.

  1. Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is having a very underrated season even though his numbers aren’t eye-popping, Jokic is averaging 25 points 10 rebounds and 9 assists, which is a near triple double, for a center that’s remarkable. What Jokic is doing on this Denver team is crazy as he’s flown under the radar this year due to the fact he’s won the last two MVPs in a row and hasn’t had that equivalent to winning, with Jokic having remarkable games in the last week he’s really exploded onto the scene on many MVP ballots in the recent weeks.
