Top 3 takeaways from the NFL Christmas games

As we are in the midst of week 16 of the NFL season we had a huge slate of games on Christmas, and many great games that came down to the wire and some blowouts. Let’s recap each of the Christmas slate of games.

Green Bay keeps playoff hopes alive

The Green Bay Packers live to see another day as they beat the Miami Dolphins 26-20 in Miami and keep their playoff hopes alive, with both quarterbacks really struggling in this game Aaron Rodgers came out on top with a decent running game and kept the Packers offense afloat. The Miami Dolphins on the other hand played poorly as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa really struggled and had three interceptions in this game, wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen waddle both had phenomenal days, but did the best they could to keep this Miami offense alive and get past this struggling Green Bay team.

Broncos get blown out by terrible Rams

Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos got blown out 14-51 by the Los Angeles Rams on the afternoon window, with Russell Wilson having one of his worst games of the year he had three interceptions, and the Broncos were down by over four scores going into halftime. Baker Mayfield had one of his best games in years as he had over a 80% completion percentage and a relatively clean game, this Rams offense worked great with Cam Akers having himself a game with three touchdowns, tight end Tyler Higbee had a great game also with two touchdowns, and just about 100 receiving yards, which is the best game he’s had maybe in his career.

Bucs survive OT thriller

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers survive a wild game against the helpless Arizona Cardinals as they win in overtime 19-16 off a game winning field goal. Both quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Trace McSorley really struggled in this game as they each had interceptions and couldn’t really find the end zone. The Buccaneers live to see another day as Tom Brady set up the game tying field goal to send the game to overtime and get the Bucs in field goal position in overtime as well. With both teams relying on their defense to win this game, the Bucs offense stepped up when it was needed.
