Recapping the Bills Bengals Monday night shortened game

As we wrap up week 17 in the NFL season, we have the Cincinnati Bengals taking on the Buffalo Bills in which this game is for the number one seed in the AFC and it’s probably one of the biggest games of the season thus far.

In the first quarter the Bengals scored a quick offensive touchdown with Tyler Boyd catching a 14 yard touchdown pass to take an early 7-0 lead, the Buffalo Bills drove down the field rather quickly and kicked a short yard field goal as they were shut out in the red zone.

This game took a very shocking turn as Buffalo Bills safety, and second year player Damar Hamlin went down trying to tackle Bengals player Tee Higgins and took a massive hit as he was hit to the ground, and as he got up, Hamlin stood there for a couple seconds and fell backwards as he seemingly passed out, and potentially suffered a concussion when he fell backwards onto the field, hitting his head very hard.

With ambulances and medical officials rushing to the field, Hamlin’s condition was not looking good as he was reportedly getting CPR on the field and was essentially rushed to the Cincinnati hospital as he is reportedly in critical condition.

With all the Bills and Bengals players sending their prayers to Hamlin and his family, the rest of the world took to social media, sending out their thoughts and prayers as well. The NFL did release a statement saying they are postponing the game and will reschedule it further down the line.

My Prayers out for Damar Hamlin.
