Recapping NFL Sunday’s wild card weekend games

Sunday afternoon and night was a crazy scene as we had three games of wild card weekend kicking off with the Buffalo Bills taking on the Miami Dolphins, New York Giants vs the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals vs the Baltimore Ravens. Let’s go through each game and give my overall thoughts on it

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins go home as the Buffalo Bills beat the Dolphins 34-31 in a crazy shootout that was an unexpected close game. With third string quarterback Skyler Thompson, starting this game many fans and media members thought the Bills were going to pummel the Dolphins rather quickly and credit to the Dolphins as they made this a ball game and kept the game close. Even though the Dolphins lost this game, they have to feel pretty good about their season and how they played on Sunday.

New York Giants vs Minnesota Vikings

The New York Giants advance to the divisional round as they beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-24 in regulation, thanks to a great game by quarterback Daniel Jones and the Giants defense. The Vikings really struggled in this game and particularly on defense which was no surprise as the Vikings have a bottom three defense in the league and what was the cause to most fans and media members for picking the Giants in an upset fashion.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens

The Cincinnati Bengals advance to the AFC divisional round as they beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-17 on Sunday night with a massive effort on the defensive end. With the Ravens having to play backup quarterback in Tyler Huntley, there wasn’t much they could do as they have really struggled on offense without Lamar Jackson this season. With the Bengals offensive line getting more banged up every week this Bengals team is slowing down on offense as they can’t protect Joe Burrow as well in weeks prior.
