With the NBA postseason still in its first week we had two fantastic games from Monday night’s slate of games as the Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings and Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets. Let’s go through each game and give a brief summary of how these games played out.
First game of the night we had was the Phoenix Suns taking on the Los Angeles Clippers without their two best players in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Suns star Devin Booker had himself a game as he finished with 45 points, with the Clippers two stars both being out this game was way too close but with the Suns taking a commanding 2-1 series lead they will look to win game four on Saturday.
Next up we had the Golden State Warriors taking on the Sacramento Kings in which the Warriors won 114-97 to close the gap in this series 1-2. With the Kings bench players really struggling on the road it was up to the Kings starters to keep them in the game. Warriors superstar Stephen Curry had a great game with 36 and 6 on efficient shooting splits and Kevon Looney also had a standout game as he crashed the boards with 20 rebounds.
Lastly we had the Philadelphia 76ers vs Brooklyn Nets as the Sixers took a commanding 3-0 series lead. Things got chippy in this game as Joel Embiid received a flagrant one foul as he kicked Nets forward Nick Claxton and James Harden was ejected late in the game. With the Sixers looking to close this series out this weekend they’ll look forward to their second round matchup next week and get extra rest.
