Reviewing the Jags Jets Thursday night game

As we are close to the end of the season, starting in week 16 we have the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New York. With both teams fighting for a playoff spot this game is very crucial and another talking point is the 2021 first and second overall pick battling it out in this game. Let’s go through each half of football and give my overall thoughts of this game.

In the first quarter both teams really struggled to get any offense going as they both settled for one field goal apiece to make it a tie ball game at 3-3 to end the first quarter, in the second quarter the Jaguars scored an offensive touchdown as Trevor Lawrence ran it into the endzone. As both teams really struggled in a windy northeastern game in MetLife Stadium, this was more of a field position and defensive battle.

In the second half there wasn’t much to watch as both teams struggled with getting down the field as the Jaguars settled for multiple field goals and the Jets didn’t score in the second half at all. Zach Wilson really struggled in this game as he had no touchdowns and one interception, and was eventually benched for a no name player in Chris Streveler.

Overall, my prediction was right as I had the Jacksonville Jaguars winning comfortably, I didn’t expect the Jets offense to look as bad as it did even at home, but credit to the Jaguars defense as they held the Jets to a season low 3 points. Both teams are now 7-8 and are still fighting for a playoff spot.

Previewing jags Jets Thursday night game

As we head into week 16 of the NFL season, we have the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New York. With the NFL season counting down, both of these teams are in the playoff hunt and desperately need this win. Let’s go through my X factors for each team and how they can win this game.

For the Jacksonville jaguars, their biggest X Factor to win this game is the play action Pass with Trevor Lawrence, with the jags offense exploding over the last month Jacksonville can definitely win this game if they can score over 20 points and if they can manage to have one or less turnovers in this game, they have a great shot at winning this and keeping their playoff hopes alive in a very loaded AFC conference.

The New York Jets biggest X Factor to win this game is their defense, if the Jets defense can hold the red hot Jacksonville Jaguars to under 18 points, The Jets have a great shot at winning this game. With Mike White being not cleared to play for the second week in a row, backup quarterback Zach Wilson will be starting again this week the Jets offense really needs to score points and look to keep the defense off the field and keep them fresh.

Overall, my prediction is the Jacksonville Jaguars will win 24-20 and keep their playoff hopes alive as I believe the Jets offense will not be able to keep up with the Jaguars offense. Most believe this will be Zach Wilson’s last game starting before Mike White comes, if the Jets don’t win this game their season could come to an end very shortly.

My NBA top 3 MVP candidates

As we are just about a third through the NBA season, let’s go through my top three NBA MVP candidates and why I think they should be ranked where they are in the most valuable player conversation. I’ll be measuring the MVPs with stats, team, ranking in position, and overall impact on their team when they’re on and off the court.

  1. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging a whopping 31 points ,11 rebounds and 5 assists on a Bucks team without another All Star caliber player this season. Even though Giannis isn’t having as good of a season as he usually does, he’s still my MVP favorite, considering where the Bucks are in the standings and what Giannis is doing when he’s on the floor.

  1. Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum is most fans and media members MVPs as of right now but I currently have Tatum second on my list as I don’t consider him the best player in the world, but he is a phenomenal to a player in this league and what he’s doing in the east on the Celtics team is remarkable, Tatum is averaging 30 points 8 rebounds and 4 assists on pretty efficient numbers and playing well on the defensive end. Tatum and the Celtics are most peoples’ picks to get back to the finals this year and that’s largely due to the fact of what Tatum brings to the Celtics in this Boston team.

  1. Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is having a very underrated season even though his numbers aren’t eye-popping, Jokic is averaging 25 points 10 rebounds and 9 assists, which is a near triple double, for a center that’s remarkable. What Jokic is doing on this Denver team is crazy as he’s flown under the radar this year due to the fact he’s won the last two MVPs in a row and hasn’t had that equivalent to winning, with Jokic having remarkable games in the last week he’s really exploded onto the scene on many MVP ballots in the recent weeks.

Reviewing the Packers Rams Monday night game

Capping off week 15 of the NFL season. We have the Green Bay Packers taking on the Los Angeles Rams in Lambeau Field, to which it will be a cold winter game. With the Packers still in the hunt for a playoff spot and Baker Mayfield getting more first team reps with the offense, this game could come down to the wire and be a good one to cap off the week. Let’s go through each half of football and give my overall thoughts of the game.

In the first quarter it was a slow game as the Packers drove down the field and settled for a field goal but Aaron Rodgers throwing a pick didn’t help Green Bay’s offense. The Rams offense was nonexistent in the first quarter with the Rams struggling to get the running game going and Baker Mayfield looking rushed in the pocket. In the second quarter the Rams managed to get a field goal early in the quarter. For the rest of the second half, the Rams only scored a field goal as the Packers ran in a touchdown to take a 10-6 lead going into half time.

In the second half, the Packers came out swinging as they scored two touchdowns with their star running backs, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon in the third quarter. With Green Bay taking a double digit lead, this gave them the room to play a prevent defense, and really hone in on Baker Mayfield and the Rams passing game, Baker and the Rams offensive really struggled in this game as they only had 156 total yards of offense in the entire game.

Overall, my prediction was very close as I predicted the Packers to win, soundingly and that’s what they did, the Packers keep their playoff hopes alive as they advance to 6-8 as the Los Angeles Rams fall to a egregious 4-10, Green Bay wins 24-12.

NFL Sunday my 3 biggest takeaways

Week 15 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Sunday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Chiefs edge Texans in overtime thriller

The Kansas City Chiefs edge out the Houston Texans in an overtime thriller that came down to the wire thanks to the Chiefs defense forcing a fumble and putting the Chiefs offense in field goal range to win the game. Patrick Mahomes played a decent game as he was overall with three total touchdowns which included two in the air with one rushing touchdown, Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon had the best game of his career as he had two total touchdowns with being effective in the run game and passing game, Chiefs win 30-24.

Jaguars upset Cowboys with walk off interception

The Jacksonville Jaguars upset the Dallas Cowboys with a walk off interception in overtime thrown by Quarterback Dak Prescott to send the Cowboys home, Dak has really struggled in recent weeks with multiple interceptions in the past few weeks, against the Texans and now the Jaguars. Credit to Trevor Lawerance as he’s quickly becoming a top quarterback in this league with throwing three plus touchdowns over the last couple weeks and keeping the Jaguars in playoff contention, Jags win 30-24.

Bengals pummel Bucs in second half

The Tampa Bay buccaneers came out swinging, taking a commanding 17-0 lead halfway through the second quarter and holding Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals to under 90 yards of total offense. in the second half the Bengals defense forced four turnovers to give Cincinnati’s offense a short field to quickly score, the Bengals turned a 17-0 deficit to a 34-17 lead within a quarter and a half, despite the box score being 34-23 this game wasn’t close halfway through the fourth quarter as the Buccaneers scored a garbage time touchdown to make the game closer than it actually appeared.

NFL Saturday my 3 biggest takeaways

Week 15 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Saturday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Vikings spark largest comeback in NFL history

The Minnesota Vikings sparked the largest comeback in NFL history as they were down 33-0 going into halftime and won in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 39-36. With Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins struggling in the first half with multiple interceptions and pick sixes, this Vikings team came roaring back in the second half thanks to big time plays from their playmakers like running back Dalvin Cook and receivers, Justin Jefferson and K.J Osborn. Matt Ryan has officially been on the losing side of the two biggest collapses in NFL history as he has now lost a 25 point lead and now a 33 point lead.

Ravens done without Lamar?

Are the Baltimore Ravens in trouble without Lamar Jackson? The Ravens have really struggled on offense in the last few weeks since quarterback Lamar Jackson went down with his injury in week 13. With the Ravens scoring only 3 points against the Cleveland Browns this Baltimore team could be in trouble to make the playoffs if Lamar doesn’t come back soon, credit to the Browns as their defense has played really well since Deshaun Watson has come back and given the Browns offense something to rest their heads on.

Josh Allen dominates Dolphins

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills defeat the Miami Dolphins in a snowy game in Buffalo. The Bills keep their winning streak and the #1 seed alive in the stacked AFC conference, with Bills quarterback Josh Allen putting on a clinic last night with four passing touchdowns and being the leading rusher on the Bills, Allen put the Bills offense on his back once again. Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa also had a good game with two touchdowns and some really nice throws, with the biggest talking point of the week was can Tua play well in the cold and have a bounce back week, he really showed he can play in cold weather and put up points in the cold weather in Buffalo and in the AFC as a whole.

Recapping the 49ers Seahawks Thursday night game

With the San Francisco 49ers taking on their division rival Seattle Seahawks, this game is most likely for the NFC West divisional crown. As we have the best defense in the NFL in the 49ers and one of the best stories this year in the Seahawks, each team is battling for a playoff spot, as this is one of the better matchups of the week. Let’s go through each half of football and give my overall thoughts on the game.

In the first quarter the 49ers got it rolling with a good defensive stop, and a quick score on offense to tight end George Kittle, the Seahawks really struggled in the first one and a half quarters to score as this 49ers defense was shutting down all parts of the Seahawks offense. The rest of the second half was also all about the 49ers as they jumped out to an early 14-3 lead making the Seahawks pass the ball in ditch the running game early.

Coming into the second half the Seahawks really had to do some soul searching as they were down by double digits, and this 49ers defensive line was really getting pressure on Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith all day long. This 49ers offense really was humming as George Kittle had a big day with two touchdowns and 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey had a 100 yard game with a touchdown to go with it.

Overall, my prediction was close for this game as I did pick the 49ers to win by two scores. The 49ers officially win the NFC West crown and clinch a playoff berth as they advance to 10-4 as the Seattle Seahawks drop to 7-7 on the year and are still fighting for a playoff spot.

Previewing the 49ers Seahawks Thursday night football game

Heading into week 15 we have the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Seattle Seahawks in a great divisional matchup in the NFC West against the top two teams in their respective division. With these two teams battling it out for the division crown and playoff spot, This will be a great watch as you have the great storied Seahawks against the stacked 49ers team. Let’s go through my biggest X factor for each team and how they can win the ball game.

For the Seahawks, their biggest X Factor to win is definitely the run game as they should look to control the clock with now healthy running back Kenneth Walker lll, and keep the ball out of the 49ers offense hands. The Seahawks should also look to limit their turnovers in mistakes as this game will come down to the wire.

For the 49ers, even though they are heavy favorites, the biggest X Factor to win is their defense. If the niners defense can limit the Seahawks to under 17 points, San Francisco will have a great shot to win this game as this 49ers offense has looked explosive due to the great field position provided by their defense and Brock Purdy looking great as this will be his second career start with this star studded offense and 49ers team overall.

Overall, I have the 49ers winning 27-17 as they handle the Seahawks easily and end this debate on who is winning the NFC divisional crown.

Kyler Murray undergoes season ending injury

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has officially undergone season ending surgery as he tore his ACL in week 14 against the New England Patriots on Monday night football. The Cardinals quarterback was in the midst of his fourth NFL season and having a decent overall season as he had accumulated just under 2400 yards and 14 touchdowns to seven interceptions, with Murray missing a couple games due to a hamstring injury earlier in the year Kyler came back and looked promising as he played well with the weapons in circumstances he was working with.

This is the fourth season in a row that Murray has gotten injured late in the year fans and media members are starting to speculate if Murray can stay healthy for a whole season as he is unable to do so thus far into his short NFL career. With Murray signing a massive multiyear extension last off season the Cardinals, the organization made headlines by putting a contract clause of having Kyler having to study film without any distractions for a certain amount of hours every week, as this off season was a roller coaster for the Cardinals with the Kyler Murray news and drama, trading for star wide receiver Marquise, Brown, and star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins being suspended for violating the league’s drug enhancement rules.

As this season is one to forget for the Cardinals fans and team, they will look to next year and hope Kyler will be ready for the start of the NFL season in 2023, with rumblings of head coach Cliff Kingsbury being fired. This could be another off-season full of drama for the Cardinals, even with all the drama and injuries this team has sustained they still have one of the league’s best rosters and with a top draft pick they could really do some damage next year if the circumstances are right.
