Recapping the Bengals Browns Monday night Halloween game

A battle of the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns will be featured on Halloween or as known as Monday night football. This highly anticipated matchup will be a great game for the NFL and its fans as the Bengals look to improve and continue their win streak. The Browns look to save their season and win this very important game. With Bengals star receiver Ja’Marr Chase being out, this Bengals team will look to run the ball and set up play action with tee Higgins being a lead receiver in this game.

The first half was very low scoring but nonetheless both teams played great defense with each quarterback turning the ball over with an interception and both getting sacked, as the Browns offense has really struggled in the last month, this Bengals defense was primed to have a great day in forcing Cleveland into turnovers. This Bengals offense didn’t look the same without Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins really struggled in the first half. But the Browns did score with Nick Chubb running it in like per usual, You can’t say the same about the Bengals running game as they really struggled to get Joe Mixon going against Cleveland’s run defense.

Even though this game looked to be a blowout with Cleveland winning 32-13 this game wasn’t even that close, with the Bengals not scoring through the first three quarters they looked to score in garbage time down over three scores. Looking in the box score Joe Burrow played well but watching the game Burrow and this Bengals offense looked atrocious, with the run game really struggling with running back Joe Mixon only rushing for 27 yards and this Bengals run game didn’t have over 40 rushing yards total.

This Cleveland team looked great, specifically the defense in what forced this explosive Bengals offense to really struggle and force Cincinnati’s defense to stay on the field for the majority of the game. Looking at the key factor why this Browns team won the game was the run game in which they played really well with Nick Chubb who had over 100 rushing yards and backup RB Kareem Hunt having 42 yards, this Cleveland run game is the best in the league.

NFL Sunday my 3 biggest takeaways

Week 8 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Sunday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Raiders done for the season

Multiple teams across the league that were once contenders already seem to be way out of contention, with the Las Vegas Raiders getting shut out 0-24 by the New Orleans Saints they are now 2-6 on the year and feel like a bottom team in the AFC and not close to a playoff team at all. With multiple players questionable or out like tight end Darren Waller, wide receivers Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow and others on the defense this Raiders team just can’t seem to get it going on either side of the ball, is it newly signed head coach Josh McDaniels? Is it the offensive line getting manhandled or is it just bad luck? Even though we’re only halfway through the season the Raiders just feel so far out of it that I don’t see a way for them to come back and make the playoffs.

Dallas a top tier contender

With the Dallas Cowboys manhandling the Chicago Bears 49-29 is this Dallas team a real contender? I don’t think so and let me explain, before the turnovers happened for the Bears. It was a one score game and Dallas has allowed 23 points through three quarters. Even though Chicago came off a big win against the New England Patriots on Monday night earlier in the week They’re not a good team and Dallas has yet to prove they can beat a legitimate team. For the NFC being so weak this year I see Dallas making it to the divisional round and going home after that, even though this Dallas defense is possibly the best in the league I don’t think the offense is consistent enough week to week to compete with the top teams in the NFL.

NFC beasts falling apart

With the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers both losing on Sunday these two teams seem to be so far out of the Super Bowl window that they were in in the beginning of the year, most fans and media had both of these teams making the playoffs and possibly going further and through eight weeks of the NFL season both of these teams are in jeopardy of missing the playoffs completely. Even in the weak NFC the Green Bay Packers have one of the worst offenses in the league and a very disappointing defense that was supposed to be a top defensive team in the NFL this year. The Rams coming off of Super Bowl year didn’t address some of their all season issues including their left tackle retiring, their number two wide receiver leaving in the off-season and key pass rusher Von Miller leaving for the Buffalo Bills, between all those things and now injuries starting to rattle team their stars, the Rams are facing a hole of missing the playoffs completely and having no draft picks to rebuild this star heavy team.

Should LeBron leave L.A?

Should LeBron James leave the Los Angeles Lakers and request a trade? In this article I will break down all the reasons I think LeBron should leave LA and request a trade from this Lakers organization, With LeBron James going into his fifth NBA season as a Los Angeles Laker he has had his ups and downs with the organization, from winning a NBA championship in 2022 to missing the playoffs, two out of the four years thus far even though LeBron James is 37 going on 38 years old he is still considered a top five NBA player in this league and paired with Anthony Davis, who is also a top 10 player when healthy this duo can win a championship and has won a championship with the right team around them.

From when LeBron was recruited to LA by Magic Johnson, LeBron was dealing with a team of young rookies and second year players including Lonzo ball, Kyle, Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and others, that year the Lakers did miss the playoffs as they were the fourth seed until injuries rattled that team in the second half of the year. By year number two that whole team was essentially gone as one of the biggest trades in NBA history went down with Anthony Davis getting traded to the Los Angeles Lakers and essentially the whole entire team besides, Kyle, Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell pope was traded for Davis in their first year of the Davis and LeBron pairing. They won a championship in the Orlando bubble year.

Going into year three the Lakers ran it back with essentially the same exact squad, and due to injuries they were bounced in the first round of the playoffs by the eventual Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns.

In that next off-season one of the Lakers most tragic trades happened as the Lakers traded with the Washington wizards to get back All Star guard Russell Westbrook in exchange for Kentavious Caldwell pope and Kyle Kuzma, since that trade is happened the Lakers have been an absolute mess and haven’t put the right supporting cast around LeBron James, Lakers co star Anthony Davis has also not been the same player since winning the championship in 2020.

As most media and fans predicted the Russell Westbrook pairing with the Lakers was going to be an absolute disaster and so far in the short two years it has been that with the Lakers. Since the Lakers have been attempting to get off Westbrook’s contract the census around the league is that the Lakers would have to give up two unprotected first round picks in exchange to get off Westbrook contract as the Lakers are unwilling to do so.

Going into year 19 LeBron James is averaging north of 25 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assist a game, with LeBron having this great of a year, the Lakers simply cannot waste another year of this amount of LeBron James production, earlier this week James posted on Instagram hinting at “You better not take for granted what you have”, James has reportedly been increasingly more and more frustrated with the organization and team built around him in the last two seasons, If I was LeBron James I would not waste another year with this organization and demand a trade in the coming weeks.

Recapping the Bucs Ravens Thursday night game

With this game being one of the better primetime games thus far of the season this Buccaneers and Ravens game has high potential to be a great standalone game for the week. As I previewed this game yesterday and looked into the biggest X factor for each team to win, let’s take a look and break down what happened in this game and how close my prediction was.

As the Tampa Bay Buccaneers controlled the first quarter they really stood out with the passing game, but ended up scoring with the run game and Leonard Fournette, as Tampa‘s offense has really looked stout in the first half of this game, controlling the line of scrimmage and blitzing Lamar Jackson, Tampa’s linebackers are really giving the Ravens tight ends big trouble. As the Ravens saw themselves in multiple third and longs due to penalties and or runs for losses their offense really struggled in the first half.

The second half was the complete opposite as the Ravens completely dominated the Buccaneers and outscored the Bucs 24 to 12 and win the game 27-22, speaking of the second half the Buccaneers just looked so gassed as this team was missing tackles left and right, making big mistakes which ended up costing Tampa a potential touchdown in the red zone. The Bucs had six drives which resulted in a punt as their offense just doesn’t look like it’s clicking for some reason.

Credit to the Baltimore Ravens as they won this game on the road to advance to 5-3 on the season and without their top two pass catchers in Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews who got injured in the second quarter of this game, the Ravens were also missing their top running back in J.K Dobbins. The Bucs seem to be in more and more trouble as the weeks go on with another potential season ending injury to pass rusher Shaquill Barrett who is the Bucs leading sacker for the last couple seasons. Ravens advance to 5-3 and the Bucs fall to 3-5.

Previewing the Bucs Ravens Thursday night game

With one of the best primetime games being played this season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers facing off against the Baltimore Ravens on Amazon prime’s Thursday night football game, let’s do a deep dive into what each team’s X Factor will be and what the most likely outcome for this game will be.

First let’s start for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and what their biggest key to winning this game against the Ravens will be, with the Buccaneers having multiple skill positions, players like Julio Jones, Cameron, Brate, and Russell Gage they should be relying heavily on the run game in Leonard Fournette. The Ravens secondary is banged up and with the Buccaneers losing back to back games Tom Brady will likely be pinpoint on his accuracy and timing.

The biggest X factor for the Ravens to win this game is definitely going to be Lamar Jackson distributing the ball to the Ravens playmakers, like the Buccaneers, the Ravens have one of the most banged up secondaries in the NFL with their top two cornerbacks being questionable and other defensive backs also being out, Baltimore should heavily rely on Lamar in his passing game. Now the Ravens might struggle to run the ball effectively due to the fact that starting running back J.K Dobbins is now on I.R, but with a very banged up Tampa Bay defense this Ravens team can give the Bucs major trouble, but the passing game will definitely be the key to winning for the ravens.

Overall I predict this game will be close but I do have Baltimore winning this game due to the fact that the Buccaneers are probably the most injury rattled team this season and multiple distractions coming in again this week I don’t see a scenario where Tampa Bay will win this game. I have the ravens winning 21-17.

NBA top 3 players of the season thus far

This list isn’t in any order and will feature three NBA players who have either had a bounce back year or are looking to build off of their previous season. These players aren’t averaging the most points, rebounds or assists but their overall impact and play on the court will definitely be featured on this list.

First we’ll start with Ja Morant who has to be on his list as he’s leading the league with 35.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7 assists a game. Currently the Grizzlies are 3-1 on season and have the second best record in the western conference. This season Ja has to improve his defense and stay healthy. If he could do those two things then the Grizzlies can be a very good team this year and definitely be in the mix to win the championship as Ja last season had a MVP caliber season, he is looking to build off of that and become a better player on and off the court.

With the best record in the NBA, Damian Lillard has to be on his list as he’s averaging 33.3 points. With 5.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists a game, Lillard and the Blazers were considered to be a borderline playoff team this season and have quickly proved the media and fans wrong as they are 4-0 and Lillard looks to be back to his normal self after coming off a down year caused by a major leg injury which he sustained early last season.

This may be a shocking one, but James Harden should be on the list due to the fact that he’s really had a bounce back season as the last two years he looked to be on the decline. This off-season Harden has worked really hard to get back into shape and get back to his former MVP self, Harden is averaging 26.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 9.8 assists on a loaded Philadelphia 76ers team that most consider are in contention to be a championship contender this year.

Recapping the Bears Patriots Monday night game

With this being one of the better primetime games of the season thus far, this game had potential to be a good one, and it was. With the New England Patriots starting slowly the Chicago Bears took a favorable 10-0 lead in the second quarter, the patriots had to fight back in the second quarter to try to spark a comeback, with Mac Jones returning under center for the patriots and this offense, New England’s offense had some horrible three and outs in the first quarter, and Mac Jones making a horrible throw which turned into an interception in the second quarter.

Justin Fields also looked good with a 3-3 drive and a 3 yard rushing touchdown to cap off the drive. Patriots backup quarterback Bailey Zappe. Came in halfway through the second quarter and led the patriots to a touchdown drive including a very nice 30 yard touchdown reception. With Mac Jones being injured for a couple weeks and Bailey Zappe coming in 2-0 this game as a starter, Patriots fans have quickly transitioned to wanting Bailey Zappe.

Although the Patriots had the momentum going into halftime the second half was all about the Chicago Bears as they shutout New England in the second half and outscored the Patriots 13-0 to blow them out. Although Bailey Zappe showed out in the second quarter he was ice cold in the second half scoring no points and throwing two picks.

There’s slowly becoming a quarterback controversy in New England and with Pats head coach Bill Belichick benching starting QB Mac Jones after throwing an interception and Bailey Zappe playing well, it looks like there could be a problem here.

Bears quarterback Justin Fields looked great as he’s really starting to shine in these last few weeks, although Fields played okay last night he did make some big throws and show poise in the pocket, even against Belichick who’s given first and second year QB’s trouble with his defensive disguises.

NFL Sunday my 3 biggest takeaways

Week 7 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Sunday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Upset alert all around the league

With there being multiple teams around the league every week let’s look at this week’s biggest upsets, first let’s go back to the two teams that were on last week’s list with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers who both lost two teams who are under .500 on the season and now both the Packers and Bucs are 3-4 on the season as they look to be in trouble if they want to compete for a Super Bowl this season. Another upset and possibly the upset team of the year is the Seattle Seahawks who are really overachieving as they advanced to 4-3 on the year as they blew out the Los Angeles Chargers at Sofi Stadium in L.A.

Chiefs a top 3 team in the league?

With a dominating 44-23 win over the San francisco 49ers in the 4 o’clock window game the Chiefs and the NFL had their first look at newly acquired running back Christian Mccaffrey on the 49ers and wow does this trade have potential, Mccaffrey look phenomenal in his first game as a 49ers with limited snaps and less than four days with this playbook. For the Kansas City they turned the number one defense in the league into shambles with Patrick Mahomes throwing four touchdowns and over 400 passing yards, this Chiefs team looked great on both sides of the ball, from sacking Jimmy Garrappolo multiple times and the Chiefs registering the best offense in the league without Tyreek Hill.

NFC East looks dominant

With the philadelphia Eagles on a bye the rest of the NFC East all won in the 1 o’clock window with the Dallas Cowboys routing the Detroit Lions at home with another dominant defensive performance, the New York Giants advancing to 6-1 with a nail biting win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Jacksonville and newly added head coach Brian Daboll turning around this organization. Lastly the Washington Commanders narrowly beat the Green Bay Packers to advance to 2-5 on the season as backup quarterback Taylor Hieneke played well under the circumstances he was under.
