Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl prediction

With this being the last football game of the season in the National Football League, we have the two best teams facing off for another Lombardi trophy, the Kansas City Chiefs and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes will look to add a second Super Bowl win and cap off a historically great season with winning his second MVP and leading the league in many statistical categories, the Philadelphia Eagles and second year quarterback Jalen Hurts is making hos first career Super Bowl appearance as he has also had a career year with the Eagles.

The Super Bowl kicking off at 6:30 PM eastern standard time in State Farm stadium in Arizona. This is the fifty seventh annual Super Bowl and is the first Super Bowl were both team’s quarterbacks are both black, which is a huge deal as more and more of the NFL is missing colored coaches and quarterbacks.

With the Eagles having arguably the best overall roster in the NFL and the Chiefs having the top end talent on their roster, this is going to come down to can the Chiefs defense and Patrick Mahomes make plays against this stacked Philadelphia team. The Eagles should look to run the ball and keep Patrick Mahomes on the sideline as we’ve seen before that is the way to beat Mahomes and the Chiefs in the past.

Overall my prediction for this game is that the Kansas City Chiefs will win and beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-24 and Patrick Mahomes will win his second Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP.

NFL end of the year awards ceremony

With the 2022-2023 NFL season almost at a end, the NFL gave out their yearly awards for most valuable player, offensive and defensive rookie of the year, offensive and defensive player of the year, coach of the year, comeback player of the year and many other awards, let’s go through who won each award.

Most valuable player

  • Patrick Mahomes

Offensive Player of the Year

  • Justin Jefferson

Defensive Player of the year

  • Nick Bosa

Offensive rookie of the year

  • Garrett Wilson

Defensive rookie of the year

  • Sauce Gardener

Coach of the Year

  • Brian Daboll

Comeback play of the year

  • Geno Smith

Overall I thought these awards were pretty spot on as to who won what, the only one I would disagree with is New York Jets receiver Garrett Wilson winning the Offensive rookie of the year, I believe it should have been either Kenneth Walker or Chris Olave who both had at least equal to if not better years than what Garrett Wilson had with the Jets.

NBA trade deadline winners

With the NBA trade finally closed we have a record breaking amount of trades and moves over this trade deadline which closed on Thursday February 9th at 3pm eastern time. With so many moves being made it’s virtually impossible to go through all the moves so let’s go through the three teams. I think we’re the biggest winners of the trade deadline this year.

Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns knocked it out of the park with a plethora of trades but the biggest one is obviously Kevin Durant and TJ Warren who was traded to the Suns for Cameron Johnson, Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder and four future first round picks. The Suns also traded for Darius Bazley in exchange for Dario Saric and a future second round pick.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers made some smart and splashy moves as they traded for star guard D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Davon Reed and Mo Bamba, the Lakers did shell out a lot of players and picks for players in return like Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverly, Thomas Bryant and additional draft compensation.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors made some moves as they shelled out former number two overall pick in James Wiseman and also some draft compensation as they added some much needed wing depth in Gary Payton ll and Kevin Knox which really solidifies their needs this year to make another championship run.

LeBron James breaks all time scoring record

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has officially broken the all-time scoring record in the NBA as he passed former record holder Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who held the all-time scoring record for the last 38 years.

With LeBron, needing 36 points to break Kareem’s record he did it late in the game on Tuesday as he hit a one legged fadeaway jump shot in the third quarter to break the record, with the record being 38,388 this has been a long time coming and over the last two years people have recognized that LeBron had a chance to break the record, and he did on Tuesday night, with the Lakers playing the Oklahoma City thunder, this game was absolutely packed as tickets were astronomically, expensive, even more than last year’s NBA finals.

LeBron James was drafted in the 2003 NBA draft with the number one overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers as he was considered the chosen one and drafted straight out of high school which less than a handful of players can say that they have. LeBron has been one of the most consistent players over his 20 year career and has missed minimal games open till his late 30s with the Lakers, even at age 38 LeBron is considered a top player in the league and a great leader.

Kevin Durant top 3 trade destinations

With Brooklyn Nets all star guard Kyrie Irving being traded on Sunday afternoon, it’s been widely reported that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant may want to be traded as well, Durant has already requested a trade back in July of 2022 but with the Nets reportedly wanting a “significant amount” of draft picks and players, no team was willing to give that up for Durant. With Irving being traded this leaves the door open for Kevin Durant to be traded and the reports have already started as the Nets are shopping Kevin to see his trade market. Let’s go through my top three trade destinations for where I believe Kevin Durant could be traded to.

Boston Celtics

Celtics receive: Kevin Durant, future 2nd round pick

Nets receive: Jaylen Brown, 2 future first round picks, Grant Williams, 2 future second round picks

Phoenix Suns

Suns receive: Kevin Durant, Joe Harris

Nets receive: Chris Paul, 3 future first round picks, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder

Atlanta Hawks

Hawks receive: Kevin Durant, Joe Harris

Nets receive: Trae Young, 1 future first round pick, 3 future second round picks, John Collins

A.J Green announces retirement

The veteran wide receiver has caught his last pass in the NFL as A.J Green has announced he is retiring from football after twelve long seasons in pro football. With Green spending ten long seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and being drafted with the fourth overall pick in the 2011 draft alongside superstar receiver Julio Jones.

With Green finishing his career in Arizona and missing the playoffs, Green was still very quiet last year as he finished with 236 yards receiving and two touchdowns but with a horrible quarterback situation in 2022 it wasn’t all Green’s fault for such a quiet year. With A.J being one of the top receivers in the league in the early 2010’s his career slowly faded as the Bengals struggled to be a winning team and missing the playoffs for multiple years.

A.J had a great career as he finished with 727 receptions, 10,514 receiving yards and 70 receiving touchdowns over 12 seasons. He was one of only four players selected to every Pro Bowl from 2011-2017, and one of 12 to earn such an honor in the Super Bowl era. He retires as a Bengals legend and owner of the third-longest streak of consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons to begin an NFL career.

Congratulations on the spectacular career A.J Green.

Kyrie Irving traded to Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks have officially traded for Brooklyn Nets all star guard Kyrie Irving. With Irving shocking the whole sports news world with a trade request, the NBA media quickly began to come up with trade ideas and scenarios, with the Mavericks in desperate need of an all star level player like Kyrie, they finally got it and for a hefty price tag for a potential one year player.

With the Mavericks having to give up quite a lot for the Nets all star guard, this is definitely a all in move from the organization to win it all this year in what is considered a wide open western conference. Here is the full trade compensation for both teams and what they received back in return.

Brooklyn reportedly receives:

•Spencer Dinwiddie

•Dorian Finney-Smith

•2027 second-round pick

•2027 first-round pick (unprotected)

•2029 second round-pick

Dallas reportedly receives:

•Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving top 3 trade destinations

With Brooklyn Nets all star guard Kyrie Irving taking the sports world by storm by requesting a trade on friday afternoon, the NBA media has quickly reported the top destinations for Kyrie to be traded to by this upcoming february 9th trade deadline. With the top teams reportedly interested in Irving being the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns, let’s go through my top fake trade scenarios for each interested team.

Los Angeles Lakers

Lakers receive: Kyrie Irving, Joe Harris

Nets receive: Russell Westbrook, 2 first round picks unprotected

Miami Heat

Heat receive: Kyrie Irving

Nets receive: 2 first round picks unprotected, Max Strus, Victor Oladipo

Dallas Mavericks

Mavericks receive: Kyrie Irving, 2nd round pick

Nets receive: Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, 1 unprotected first round pick

Phoenix Suns

Suns receive: Kyrie Irving, 2nd round pick

Nets receive: Chris Paul, Jae Crowder, 1 unprotected first round pick

Kyrie Irving requests trade from Nets

Brooklyn Nets all star guard Kyrie Irving has requested a trade from the Nets with reportedly saying he’d like to be either traded by this years trade deadline or he will not return to the club in free agency as he is a unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.

With this being another fork in the road for the Nets they should look to keep Kyrie for the rest of the season as the trade market for the all star guard is very little and teams are reportedly not willing to give up much of anything for Irving as he is one of the most inconsistent players off the court. With this being Irving’s last year and Nets teammate Kevin Durant already wanting out last offseason the Brooklyn Nets should look to maximize on winning the championship this year.

With this being Irving’s third team in his career, most teams aren’t willing to give him a long term extension this upcoming offseason. The three teams Irving has been on have all ended in a disaster as the Cleveland Cavaliers traded Irving as he was inconsistent and wanted to lead his own team, his second team was the Boston Celtics who traded for Kyrie and quickly regretted it as it was nothing less than drama filled as it was reported he split up the locker room. The last team Irving played for is the Brooklyn Nets which teams like that’s going to end up in a disaster as well as Kyrie has been suspended by the team and league multiple times in his short career in Brooklyn.

Chicago Bears 2023 off-season options

With the Chicago Bears having a potential franchise changing off on their hands this offseason, with the Bears holding the number one overall pick in this year’s draft, they also have the most cap space in the NFL with ninety three million to sign potential free agents. Let’s go through my top scenario for the Bears this year.

First off let’s start off with the Bears draft picks and cap space going into the offseason, the Bears have the number one overall pick in this year’s draft in which they can trade that pick and get an absolute haul of picks and players. One of the most talked about trades was the Bears moving down to the number four spot in exchange for the Colts pick and additional pro bowl players like Deforest Buckner. With the Bears not needing a quarterback they can and should move down to get additional draft compensation to use for future picks and or trade for star players.

With the Bears having the most cap space in the league with ninety three million, they should look to rebuild the offensive line around quarterback Justin Fields who was running for his life in these two year’s. If the Bears can buy one to two offensive lineman and draft one with a high pick they can seemingly rebuild their line in one year.

The Bears have solid offensive skill position players who are young and are still developing, so they are squared off with that but if the Bears can get better at certain positions on both sides of the ball they can double their wins and contend for a potential playoff spot.
