Deshuan Watson traded to the Browns

Deshuan Watson is headed to the Cleveland Browns after a long feud with the Houston Texans, with the Browns sending 3 straight first round picks, a 2023 third rounder, and a 2024 fourth round pick in exchange for the Former Clemson quarterback. Watson made it clear that he wouldn’t waive his no trade clause to the Browns but after changing his mind Watson decided that Cleveland was the best landing spot for Deshuan to win.

The former first round pick had plenty of NFC teams looking to acquire Watson including the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, but Cleveland had the best offer. After Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield got a whiff of the Browns looking to acquire Watson Baker requested a trade and felt insulted by the organization, Cleveland then denied Mayfields request after Watson took the Browns off his board, which made the Baker, Browns relationship inseverable but after all thoughts Watson did waive his no trade clause to Cleveland and which triggered the deal.

Watson and Cleveland came to an agreement on a contact of 5 years and $230 million fully guaranteed. Baker Mayfield now gets his request of seeking a trade for a new team.

Davante Adams traded to the Las Vegas Raiders

After the Green Bay Packers franchise tagged Davante Adams, Adams told the Packers he will not be playing under the franchise tag leading to speculation that Adams last game as a Packer has already been played. After Aaron Rodgers and Davante both posted a picture on Instagram of the hidden meaning “The Last Dance” there were many media members and former Green Bay players also speculating that Adams, Rodgers and the Packers were not all going to return next season and that has come to fruition.

After Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers signed a mega 3 year extension worth $150 million dollars and Green Bay already having cap issues the Packers had to know deep down Davante Wanting to also get a record setting deal meant Adams was most likely going to be the odd man out, Turns out he was. Thursday night Green Bay told Davante to pack his bags as he was now a Las Vegas Raider and in the same night the Raiders and Davante Signed a record breaking deal for a wide receiver at 141.25 million over the next 5 years which some to 28.25 million a season on average, Las Vegas definitely paid for the top wide receiver giving up a first and second round pick in this upcoming 2022 NFL draft.

Adams, the now Raider, will be catching passes from Derek Carr, who was a former college teammate but there will be no easy road for the Raiders as the AFC West is now the toughest division in the NFL by far.

Von Miller Signing with the Bills

Von Miller to sign with the Buffalo Bills. Miller is headed to Buffalo to join the Bills on a six year 120 million dollar deal with 51 million in guaranteed dollars, as Miller is 33 this will likely be his last contact as it will play out until he’s 39, its reported the Randy Gregory singing for Denver played a big role as in why Miller did not wind back up on the Broncos, the Broncos believed Millers price tag was too much for what Denver was looking to pay for the premier pass rusher.

After having a phenomenal half season with the Los Angeles Rams last year Miller was looking to get paid. The Rams and Miller had a mutual interest to run it back but just like Denver the Rams were not willing to pay the price tag that the two time superbowl champ was looking for. With Buffalo adding Miller and former Buccaneers tight end O.J Howard the Bills are most likely the odds-on favorites to get out of the AFC next season.

Todays big NFL signings

1. Za’Darius Smith returning to Ravens on a 4 year contract worth $35 million. After getting released by the Packers earlier this week Za’Darius will be returning to the Ravens on a very team friendly contract

2. Chandler Jones to the Raiders, Jones will be pairing with Maxx Crosby in Las Vegas for the next 3 seasons, after multiple signings and trades in the now loaded AFC West the Raiders had to make a big splash.

Top 10 Free Agent Signings and Trades

This list is up to date as of 3/15, and does not include players that were already on the team.

  1. Russell Wilson to the Broncos

Putting this #1 wasn’t a hard decision considering what the Broncos gave up and what they just acquired in Russell Wilson, Wilson coming off his first losing season of his career in seattle is looking to make a big splash in the AFC West this upcoming season.

  1. J.C Jackson to the Chargers

J.C, considered a top corner in the league, is considered to be underpaid looking at the other corners in his ballpark making close to 20 million per year, J.C is only averaging 16.4 million per year.

  1. Amari Cooper to the Browns

I put this so high on the list because of the discount the Browns got on Cooper, the former Dallas wideout coming off a rough year looks to bounce back in Cleveland as the WR1.

  1. Khalil Mack to the Chargers

Mack is an elite pass rusher in this league, though he may be past his prime he’s still a top pass rusher in this league and will be a monster duo pairing Mack with Joey Bosa on the other side. Mack was traded for a 2nd round pick in this upcoming draft and a 6th in next year’s draft.

  1. Brandon Scherff to the Jaguars

Scherff is a premiere pass protector in this league who will now be protecting 2nd year QB Trevor Lawerance, the all pro guard was set to have a big pay day and he got his wish.

  1. Justin Ried to the Chiefs

Ried coming off a terrific year with the Texans is now headed to the AFC favorite Chiefs, Ried will now replace the honey badger as the teams top secondary player and heart of the defense which is a big void to fill.

  1. Charvarius Ward to the 49ers

Ward coming from Kansas city as the #1 corner will now join a loaded defense in      San Francisco looking to make a splash in the wild NFC west, San Fran got Ward on a pretty lucrative deal but Ward will make a big impact in the teams secondary in the upcoming season.

  1. Mitchell Trubisky to the Steelers

Tribisky coming off a backup year to Josh Allen Mitchell looks to make a comeback as the Steelers starting QB. The 2017 2nd overall pick is looking to get his career back on track after the Bears showed no interest in keeping Trubisky and getting no playing time backing up Josh Allen.

  1. Alex Cappa to the Bengals

Coming off a best year the pro bowl level guard is now protecting super bowl QB Joe Burrow who was sacked 71 times last year. The 27 year old guard got his big pay day and he got it! After protecting Tom Brady last year Cappa is gonna have his hands full protecting Joe Burrow.

  1. Sebastian Joseph-Day to the Chargers

The super bowl champ D tackle is heading just down the street to the Chargers getting a big payday! Joseph-Day will now be paired with Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack which shouldn’t be too different from being paired with Aaron Donald and Von Miller last season as the league’s scariest pass rush.
