NBA top 3 players of the night

This list is based off of the games played on Monday nights games, this list is not based off of who had the most points, it’s about who had the best impact on the floor all things considered.

  1. Jimmy Butler

Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat once again blew out the Atlanta Hawks, winning 115-105 at home. Butler had one of his best playoff games in his career scoring 45 points with 5 boards, 5 assists and to go along with that 2 steals on the defensive end, Butler shot efficiently also {60% FG, 57.1% from 3PT} with also a +19 plus-minus. The Heat will now travel to Atlanta to play the Hawks, if Miami can split on the road this series is most likely to be over in 5 games if not 6 max.

  1. Brandon Ingram

Brandon Ingram and the Pelicans stun the Suns last night with a 125-114 win on the road to even the series up at 1 game a piece, Ingram led the pelicans with 37 points with a near triple double {37,11 and 9} with also a steal and a block. The Pelicans are massive underdogs in this series but definitely have enough firepower to take down the Suns or give them a run for their money.

  1. Devin Booker

Devin Booker and the Suns may have lost but for the simple fact Booker was having a fantastic game until he went down in the third quarter with a hamstring injury. Booker and the Suns were down 77-74 when Booker went down and he didn’t return for the rest of the game and no news has come back yet but Phoenix could be without Booker for at least a game so they better prepare for that. Devin was heating up shooting 12-19 before the injury and he’s a mini Klay Thompson in the fact that when he gets hot he burns like no other, we’ve seen Booker drop 70 on the now defensive player of the year Marcus Smart and I wouldn’t rule out Booker dropping 40 to 45 points by the end of this game if he stayed in.

NBA Top 3 players of last night’s games

This list is based off of the games played on Monday nights games, this list is not based off of who had the most points, it’s about who had the best impact on the floor all things considered.

  1. Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson just had the game of his life last night, becoming the first Dallas Mavericks player to have a 40 point playoff game with zero turnovers. Brunson had 41, 8 and 5 with 2 steals, Brunson also shot very efficiently {60% FG and 3PT}. Brunson was one of four Mavericks players to score in double digits leading Dallas to a much needed win before Luka Doncic returns.

  1. Stephen Curry

Last night was vintage Steph Curry, scoring 34 points on high efficiency and filling up the stat sheet. The Warriors dismantled the Denver Nuggets 126-106 taking a 2-0 lead in the series, Five Warriors scored in double digits but Curry was the main piece of success last night. Curry was very efficient, shooting 12-17 including 5-10 from 3 point land.

  1. Tyrese Maxey

Tyrese Maxey once again is on the list with another spectacular game, finishing with 23, 9 and 8 with a block and a steal, Maxey also shot 72.7% and 50% from 3 point land. Thanks to Maxey and Embiid handling the Raptors with a 112-97 win the 76ers take a 2-0 lead in the series heading to Toronto the Raptors really have to lock in these next two games at home if they want a shot at winning this series.

Top 3 players from Easter Sunday playoff games

This list is only based off of the four NBA games played on Easter Sunday.

  1. Jayson Tatum

For the sole fact that Jayson Tatum hit the game winner against the Brooklyn Nets i have to put him at #1. Tatum was also the team leader in points, assists and was tied with Jalyen Brown in blocks, Tatum had a nice 31, 4 and 8 on efficient shooting. With four Celtics starters finishing with over 20 points it wasn’t hard to figure out this is a deep roster with Tatum and Brown as the lead pieces. This will be a back and fourth series but Celtics fans have to be quite happy with where they’re at right now all things considered.

  1. Chris Paul

The veteran point guard once again shows why he’s a top 3 point guard in this league, especially when the playoffs come around, Chris Paul led the Phoenix Suns to a game 1 victory over the 8th seed New Orleans Pelicans with a 30 point double double and filling up the stat sheet in the process. Five Suns players had double digit points {Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson}, with Ayton leading the way in rebounding. Phoenix shot well from inside the arc but really struggled from beyond the arc just shooting 35.7% from 3pt but the Suns still cruised to an easy victory on Easter Sunday.

  1. Jimmy Butler

It was a hard pick between Jimmy Butler and Giannis Antetokounmpo, but considering the fashion that the Miami Heat blew out the Atlanta Hawks it had to be Jimmy Buckets. Butler made the most of his time on the court with the highest plus-minus of the game and also filling up the stat sheet with 21, 6 and 4 with 3 steals on a good field goal percentage, Butler did struggle from the free throw line shooting just 2-7 but it didn’t affect the game at all. The Hawks just had a bad night with nobody scoring over 17 points and Trae Young had a game to forget finishing with just 8 points on 1-12 shooting.

Top 3 players from Saturday playoff tipoff

This list is only based off of the four NBA games played on Saturday night.

  1. Karl-Anthony Towns

With Minnesota being the underdog in this series, Kat came up big in game 1 against the Grizzlies. Despite not being the leading scorer last night im still putting Kat in the #1 spot because of the overall impact he had on the floor last night, with 29 points and 13 rebounds Kat made a big impact on both ends of the floor offensively and defensively. Towns had the second highest plus-minus and 9 defensive rebounds alone with high shooting percentages.

  1. Tyrese Maxey

With the Sixers blowing out the Toronto Raptors to start the series it’s already not looking good for Raptors fans as Tyrese Maxey torched Toronto last night scoring a game-high 38 points on super efficient shooting. Maxey also had a game-high plus minus of +20. Some would Say James Harden was the player of the game instead of Maxey because of Hardens 22 points with 14 assists but I would disagree as Tyrese had more points and better plus-minus than James.

  1. Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole had to be on this list for just the fact that he’s having a breakout season and this was his playoffs debut and he was in the starting lineup ahead of Steph Curry. Poole also was the leading scorer in this game carrying the Golden State Warriors to a game 1 win and scoring 30 points and having very efficient shooting percentages all around. Curry coming off the bench as a sixth man meant that Poole was in the starting lineup with Klay Thompson as the two guard.

Friday’s NBA play-in games

Atlanta Hawks vs Cleveland Cavaliers

The Trae Young led Hawks cruise past the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 107-101 win with Trae Young leading the way with a cool 38 points. With Atlanta having a big second half the bench came up big scoring 25 points against Clevelands 9 points. Five different Hawks players scored double digits helping out Ice Trae. Even with Jarrett Allen returning to give the Cavs more help it still wasn’t enough, both teams struggled from the 3 point line but the Hawks managed to find the edge.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Los Angeles Clippers

The starless Clippers fall to the Brandon Ingram led Pelicans advance to the #8 seed in the western conference to play the Phoenix Suns in the first round. With Paul George entering health and safety protocols Thursday night, the favor swung to the Pelicans’ side and New Orleans took advantage of that. With massive concern with Zion and the Pelicans front office the players still took to the court and performed, the Pelicans also won in a different way by keeping their first pick this year that was lottery protected from the C.J Mccollum trade. Brandon Ingram had a big game scoring 30 points on efficient shooting. For the Clippers Marcus Morris Sr and Reggie Jackson led the Clippers in scoring with 27 points each but it just wasnt enough without the Clippers two big stars in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

Wednesday 7th and 8th seed play in games

Hawks vs Hornets

The Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets game was not particularly close with Atlanta blowing out the Hornets 132-103 with Trae Young leading the way once again. With six Hawks players scoring in double digits, Young did have his fair share of help last night, the Hornets really struggled with shooting just 37.8% and 31.7% from 3 point land, the Hornets will be going home in the play-in tournament for the second straight year with blowout losses in both years. Atlanta will now be playing the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 8th seed on friday.

New Orleans Pelicans vs San Antonio Spurs

The New Orleans Pelicans will now be playing the Los Angeles Clippers on friday for the final play-in spot on friday. With a big win the Pelicans beat the Spurs 113-103 with C.J Mccollum leading the way with 32 points on 52% shooting and Brandon Ingram being a big contributor with 27 points. The Pelicans are continuing to look better and better everyday without star player Zion Williamson. The San Antonio Spurs once again are missing the playoffs and are now looking forward to this offseason, with All-Star point guard Dejonte Murray having a rough game only scoring 16 points on 26% shooting it wasn’t a shock that the Spurs were going to lose this game.
