The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams are facing off in week 14 on Amazon prime as this has the potential to be a great game. With both of these teams struggling this year and having a disappointing season, both teams will look to get a win and improve on their season record. Let’s go through each half of football and give my overall thoughts for the game.

The first half was pretty exciting as the Raiders had plenty of scoring options as the Rams defense couldn’t put away this Raiders offense in the first half, with Davante Adams having a spectacular catch against corner Jalen Ramsey, in the first quarter and Josh Jacobs powering through for a touchdown run. This raiders team jumped out to a quick lead in the first half.

In the second half it was all about the Raiders…At least until the fourth quarter when like the Saints earlier in the week they had a 16-3 lead going into the fourth quarter and blew it. Baker Mayfield had a heck of a game winning drive where he drove 98 yards down the field to score the game winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Van Jefferson. Derek Carr had a game to forget as he had two interceptions and one of his worst games of his career.

Overall, I give massive credit to Baker Mayfield and the Los Angeles Rams as they figured out how to pull this game out, with the Rams squeaking out the win 17-16 they advanced to 4-9 as the Raiders drop to 5-8.

As this game has the potential to be an interesting game, the Los Angeles Rams will be taking on the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night football on Amazon prime, With the Rams making a claim on Baker Mayfield earlier in the week we could see Baker start the game as the Rams are very slim at quarterback and Baker having almost a full week of prep. Let’s go through my X-factor for each of these teams, and give my overall prediction.

For the Rams, my biggest X-factor is Jalen Ramsey. If Jalen Ramsey can shut down Davante Adams then the Rams have a chance to win this game but if Ramsey continues to get cocked like he has been then this game can get out of hand very quickly. With the Rams being so injury riddled on both sides of the ball Los Angeles doesn’t have their best player in Aaron Donald and will look to lean on linebacker Bobby Wagner and corner Jalen Ramsey.

For the Raiders, their biggest X-factor is the defensive line. If the Raiders can control the line of scrimmage on defense, they can easily win this game as Baker Mayfield was one of the worst quarterbacks while being pressured, and with a lack of weapons on the Rams offense, this raiders defense can really make some noise on Thursday night.

Overall, my prediction is the Las Vegas Raiders coming out with the win and handling the Rams with a final score of 27-17. With a Las Vegas team playing well in the last couple weeks I think they have the momentum to continue their win streak, and hand the Rams another loss.

Former Carolina Panther and Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has officially been claimed by the Los Angeles Rams on the waiver wire Tuesday afternoon. With the Los Angeles Rams paying Baker Mayfield a guaranteed $1.3 million for the rest of the season, Mayfield is projected to be the starter for the rest of the season for the Rams as star quarterback Matt Stafford is on IR and likely to miss the season and backup John Wolford is dealing with a neck injury. 

The former number one pick in the 2018 draft started his life as a Cleveland Brown and played on the Browns for four seasons and made the playoffs in 2020. With Mayfield being considered controversial and having a lack of maturity, the Browns voiced their concerns over the years and formally made a decision to trade Mayfield to the Carolina Panthers for future draft picks last offseason. 

Mayfield’s career in Carolina was a very short stint as he only played a handful of games and eventually was benched as the third string quarterback due to a lack of reasoning. Coming out of the draft, Mayfield was a Heisman Trophy winner in college football and was widely viewed as a franchise quarterback and someone who can turn around a losing teams culture, but over the years in Cleveland that was not the case as Mayfield struggled on and off the field with calling out teammates to medical staff and coaches. Baker’s career has been nothing short of a roller coaster and he is looking to prove himself on the Rams this season.

Heading into week 14 of the NFL season Mayfield has a chance to start for the Rams on Thursday night football as they play the Las Vegas Raiders and show who he really is as this is likely his last chance as a starting quarterback in the NFL, although it will not be easy, Mayfield has the coaches and weapons on this Rams team to show that he is a starting quarterback in this league and hopefully look to continue his career after the season.

With one of the better matchups of the week, we have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on the divisional rivals New Orleans Saints in a crucial game that the Bucs need to win. With the Bucs already beating the Saints earlier in the season, it would be a huge win for Tampa Bay to almost solidify a playoff spot with the help of the NFC south being the worst division in football. Let’s go through each half of football in my overall recap of this game.

        As predicted, the first half was very slow with both teams struggling to find the end zone. Both teams settled for field goals and used their offensive skills wisely, with Tom Brady and the Bucs struggling on offense this year, Brady came out slinging it and throwing check downs to running back Leonard Fournette. Andy Dalton also started well as he had a couple of big plays to receiver Rashid Shahid and Taysom Hill for a touchdown, which put the Saints up 7-3 midway through the second quarter.

        With the Bucs in a seven point deficit coming out of halftime they really struggled in the third quarter and late into the ball game. With turnovers causing the Buccaneers crucial possessions, it took Tom Brady to have some miracle plays and a 14 point deficit to come back and win the game. With the saints having a 14 point lead with three minutes to go in the fourth the Saints team really had a shot to win and blew it, giving the Bucs momentum and a belief to win the game.

Overall, the Bucs squeaked out a comeback win thanks to Tom Brady, but with a wide open NFC this Buccaneers team could potentially be dangerous. The Buccaneers advance to 6-6 as the Saints drop to 4-9.

Week 13 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Sunday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Vikings edge out Jets 

The Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Jets 27-22 in a close fashion as the game came down to the wire, where the Vikings defense made a stop on fourth down. With the Vikings securing the NFC North, they officially made their way into the playoffs, and look to battle for the number one seed in the NFC. As Jets quarterback Mike White gave his all at the end of the day with two interceptions and a rushing touchdown, but overall came up short as receiver Braxton Berrios dropped a potential game winning touchdown on fourth and goal in the end zone.

Battle for the NFC wildcard

The NFC East is continuing to go down to the wire as the Washington commanders and the New York Giants tied with the score of 20-20 and the Giants still hold a wildcard spot in the NFC. As neither team could win the game in overtime, the Giants almost did as kicker Graham Gano missed a potential game expiring field goal. With two quarterbacks playing well this season neither made the game winning play.

Cinninati edges out the Chiefs 

The Cincinnati Bengals edge out the Kansas City Chiefs in a narrow fashion 27-24 and have added to their win streak against the Chiefs 3-0. With both teams considered to be top tier Super Bowl contenders, this was considered matchup of the week and one of the better games of the year thus far. As the Chiefs still have their number one seed in the AFC, they are only one game ahead of second place and will look to bounce back next week against the division rival Denver Broncos.

As we head into week 13 of the NFL season, this upcoming Sunday is slated to be one of the best slates of games in the NFL season thus far with multiple divisional matchups and other conference rivalries. Let’s go through my top three games of the week and break them down individually.

Houston Texans vs Cleveland Browns

The Houston Texans will be taking on the Cleveland Browns in this exciting matchup due to the fact that Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson will be making his season debut against his former team, the Texans, with many fans and media members not happy to see Watson back so soon this game has quickly become a matchup to watch for this week and see how Watson looks after his long absence from the NFL.

San Francisco 49ers vs Miami Dolphins

The San Francisco 49ers are taking on the Miami Dolphins, this Niners defense will have its hands full with arguably the most explosive offenses in the NFL in the Dolphins with Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle, with both teams being considered top five teams in the NFL, this will be a markeye match up to see who’s a real contender and who is a pretender.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals

This is possibly the best matchup of the week as the Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on the Cincinnati Bengals in a rematch of last year’s AFC championship game where the Bengals won in overtime against the Chiefs. With the Chiefs being widely considered the best team in the NFL, the Cincinnati Bengals will look to dethrone the Chiefs and continue their win streak and momentum that they built over the last couple weeks, with key players like Ja’Marr, Chase and Joe Mixon coming back, this may be a shoot out and something to watch for.

Heading into week 13 of the NFL season. We have our Thursday night primetime matchup with the Buffalo Bills traveling to the New England Patriots. With each team battling for a playoff spot in the AFC. Let’s go through each half of this game and give my overall thoughts for each half and my thoughts on the game.

In the first half the Bills played overall pretty well and really got the run game going early in the first quarter, even though after the first quarter the bills trailed 3-7 they still felt like they had the momentum, and with a great connection with quarterback Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs they connected on a touchdown in the end zone to give the bills the lead. This patriots offense really struggled in the first half considering they’re a run first team. They really struggled against this good Bills defensive line.

Going into the second half the Patriots offense really struggled for most of the night and you’ve seen it every week this year that this Pats offense needs more explosive play makers and a legitimate offensive coordinator. The Bills absolutely dominated the second half and kept the ball away from New England, winning the time of possession 38 minutes to 22. With Josh Allen not having the greatest game on the ground, Allen did have a nice game and a nice fourth quarter touchdown to Gabe Davis.

Overall, I did have the Buffalo Bills winning this game, but I didn’t believe it would’ve been. This dominant of a win the Bills won 24-10 as they advanced to 9-3, as the patriots fall to 6-7.

Heading into week 13 of the NFL season. We have the New England Patriots taking on the Buffalo Bills on Amazon prime’s Thursday night football game. This is slated to be one of the better matchups of the week and with the Patriots having a great defense, this could be a good match up and a great watch. Let’s go through some of my X-factors on how each team can win and give my overall prediction of this game.

First, let’s start off with the New England Patriots, their biggest X Factor to win this game is definitely their Defense and can they hold Josh Allen and the Bills under 20 points. With the last year’s primetime game being one of the biggest talking points of the season last year, in the cold Windy game were the Patriots won, if the Patriots can have similar success to that game they can definitely keep their playoff hopes alive, we’ve seen in weeks past if you can force Josh Allen into making a couple bad throws a game, this Patriots team can play keep away, and win a low-scoring match up.

The biggest X factor for the Buffalo Bills to win this game is the run game, if the Bills can set up a solid run game against this Pats defense of wine this Bills offense could really click on all cylinders very quickly. With Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs being a top quarterback, wide receiver combo in the league, the Patriots will definitely be looking to shut down diggs and force Josh Allen to win this game with his legs and making the small check down plays.

Overall, I predict the Bills to win this game in a close 21-17 fashion as they look to keep their chances alive for the number one seed in the AFC and keep on peace with the red hot Miami Dolphins.
