Recapping the Colts Steelers Monday night game

Wrapping up we 12 in the NFL season we have the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night football and a battle of the AFC teams. These two teams have really struggled this year and with both teams struggling at the quarterback position one team in the Steelers have their potential franchise quarterback, and the Colts seemingly have another year of mediocre quarterback play. Let’s go through each half of this game and give my overall thoughts.

In the first half it was mostly all Pittsburgh, with the Steelers settling for multiple field goals but did end up scoring with a Najee Harris run in the end zone. As the Steelers headed into halftime with a lead on the Colts, Indianapolis really struggled on offense and couldn’t seem to run the ball on this stingy Steelers defense. With the Steelers heading into halftime with a 16-3 lead over the Colts, the Steelers had a big edge going and a half time, and forced Indianapolis to have to throw.

The second half the Colts came out swinging, scoring 14 unanswered points and making this a tight ball game as they took the lead in the third quarter. The Steelers came out flat and back up running back Benny Snell Jr. had a great game with leading the team and rushing, averaging 5.2 yards a carry, Najee Harris really struggled in the second half as he didn’t do very much and finished the game with 35 yards rushing on 10 attempts with one touchdown. With all that being said, the Steelers scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and also got the two point conversion, which gave them a 24 to 17 lead. The Colts and head coach Jeff Saturday, butchered the clock in the final drive to try to win the game and made many mental errors which cost in the game.

Overall a good win for the Steelers as they advance to 4-7 as the Indianapolis Colts fall to 4-7-1 and 1-2 under Jeff Saturday.

NFL Sunday my 3 biggest takeaways

Week 12 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Sunday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Broncos and Rams have the darkest future?

With both the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams losing on Sunday’s slate of games, do both of these teams have the dimmest of futures for the next few years? I believe so. With both teams giving up major draft capital for the next few years and being in a bad cap situation, the future doesn’t look bright, with Broncos trading for and signing quarterback Russell Wilson for the next five years, the Broncos are dont have multiple draft picks and having such a high cap hit with Russell Wilson the Broncos could be in for a long next half decade. For the Rams they aren’t in as bad of a situation but with the Rams having traded so much draft capital and pushing their cap bill down the road the bill finally has to be paid and it’s already looking bad for both teams.

    Good Jaguars or bad Ravens?

Was this win by the Jacksonville Jaguars over the Baltimore Ravens today more about a good Jaguars win or a bad Baltimore team? It’s more of a bad Ravens team as Baltimore’s defense still can’t seem to stop anybody, even a below average Jacksonville Jaguars team that was 1-6 in their last seven one possession games. This Ravens team seems to be spiraling these last few weeks with a close win over the Carolina Panthers in week 11 and this bad defensive showing in week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Overall even with the Ravens trading for star linebacker Roquon Smith, this Ravens defense is still really struggling.

Red hot NFC teams taking over?

With a few teams getting hot in the NFC let’s take a look at the two hottest teams in the NFC that no team would want to face right now. First the Washington Commanders, the Commanders are currently 7-5 and are on a six game win streak and are 5-1 with quarterback Taylor Hieneke, this Washington team could potentially upset any team in the league as of today. The other team that’s red hot and potentially the best overall team in the NFL is the San Francisco 49ers, the 49ers have the best overall roster in the league with all pro players on every unit, this San Francisco team is poised to make a run this year in what most believe is a very weak NFC conference.

My top 3 NBA players of the month

As we are just about 1/4 of the NBA season, let’s go through my top three players, and who I would rank in my top three this far into the season, discuss why I think they should be on this list, they don’t have to have the most points, rebounds or assists, but their impact on winning and on their team is what is most important, this list is in no order as these three players are my considered top three players.

Jayston Tatum

Jayson Tatum would be my MVP candidate as of today due to the fact of the Celtics having one of the best records in the NBA, and Tatum averaging 31 points, eight rebounds and just under five assists per game. Tatum has quickly become a top five player in the NBA and has shown that he can be a franchise cornerstone in this league. Tatum in the Celtics are considered to be one of the best teams in the league and could likely make the NBA finals.

Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic is widely considered one of the top offense of players in the NBA today, and his stats really back it up with Luka averaging 34, nine boards and eight assists, even though the Mavericks aren’t considered a good team many believe LuKa is a top three NBA player and LuKa has shown he can carry a team far into the playoffs with below average teammates around him.

Stephen Curry

What Steph Curry is doing this year in the NBA is truly remarkable even at Currys age, and how many games he’s played in his career. Curry is averaging a whopping 32 seven and seven on a bad Warriors team who look to be regressing this year due to below average bench play and deteriorating star play. Curry has dropped multiple 40 and 50 point games this year and is widely viewed as the best shooter, and one of the more explosive players in the league today.

Reviewing the Thursday Thanksgiving games

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, let’s go through the three games the NFL will be offering to us on Thanksgiving which is one of the best days of the year for not only holidays, but for sports. Let’s go through each game and give my thoughts on it.

Buffalo Bills vs Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions faced off against the Buffalo Bills to start off Thanksgiving and what a game. This was as the Buffalo Bills squeaked out a 28-25 win as this game was back and forth until the last few seconds when the Bills rallied down the field and kicked the game winning field goal. With many fans and media members predicting this game was going to be a blowout, I predicted it was going to be a close match up and I was pretty spot on, Josh Allen played pretty well overall but did struggle coming out of the second half, and looked to hurt himself during the game winning drive, but did finish the game and look to move on to week 12.

Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants

The Dallas Cowboys train keeps rolling as they blew out the New York Giants, even though the box score looks like it was a close game. The Giants didn’t play well, and once again really struggled on offense. Credit to the Cowboys defense as they completely shut down Saquon Barkley and the Giants run game and forced New York to beat them with the passing game. As Dallas advances to 8-3 on the year the Giants fall to 7-4 as they want to bounce back next week. Cowboys win 28-20.

Minnesota Vikings vs New England Patriots

The Minnesota Vikings squeaked out a win against the New England Patriots and with a crazy ending the Vikings almost lost it as Mac Jones barely overthrew Nelson Agholor late in the fourth quarter, credit to the Vikings as the advance to 9-2 and basically solidify the NFC North, and a playoff spot in the NFC. The patriots on the other hand struggled on defense which isn’t usually what you see from the Patriots. Vikings win 33-26

Previewing the Thursday night Thanksgiving games

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, let’s look through the three games the NFL will be offering to us tomorrow and give my general prediction of each game, with over 10 hours of football tomorrow. Thanksgiving is one of the best days of the year for not only holidays, but for sports.

Buffalo Bills vs Detroit Lions

Buffalo Bills facing the Detroit Lions, the Buffalo Bills will head back to Detroit as they face the Detroit Lions and look to continue the race for the AFC bye in the playoffs. The Detroit Lions are a pretty good 4-6 team as some may consider this an easy game for the Bills, Many think this Lions team could give the Bills real trouble. I am predicting a 28-24 Bills win.

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys

The New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys, with a race to win the NFC East, both of these teams look to improve the record and make the playoffs this year, the Dallas Cowboys are coming off a dominating win against the Minnesota Vikings as the New York Giants are coming off a horrendous loss to the Detroit Lions. With two of the better teams in the NFC, the Giants are struggling with passing the ball on offense, and with a great Dallas secondary, this could be a potential disaster for New York. I have the Cowboys winning 24-17.

New England Patriots vs Minnesota Vikings

The New England Patriots are taking on the Minnesota Vikings with both teams looking to make the playoffs. The Vikings are coming off a disastrous loss against the Dallas Cowboys in which they got routed 40-3, the Patriots are coming off a exciting walk off win against the New York Jets and look to keep their playoff hopes alive in a brutal AFC East division, with the Patriots being one of the worst offenses in the league, they look to force Kirk cousins into some bad throws and force a similar game as to what Dallas did last week. I predict Vikings win 27-24.

Ranking my top 10 NFL teams through 11 weeks

As we head into week 12 of the NFL season, let’s go through my top 10 NFL teams through the first 11 weeks of football and who’s in my top 10. This is not an order of the standings or a team leading in any statistical category. These are what I believe to be the 10 best NFL teams in the league as of today.

10. Tampa Bay buccaneers,

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been injury rattled all year. This Tampa team has really caught fire in the last few weeks and are climbing the NFC ladder very fast, with Tom Brady having drama in the beginning of the year, Brady has looked past that and this Tampa Bay team has really emerged as a top team in the league in the last few weeks. This Tampa  team in the playoffs could make it all the way to the Super Bowl if they have the right matchups.

9. Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans are a very good team, but are very one-dimensional on offense with Derrick Henry running the ball, you’ve seen it in the playoffs year in and year out they have a clear ceiling, but with having a top coach in Mike Vrabel this physical team can win on any given Sunday.

8. Cincinnati Bengals

Any given week the Cincinnati Bengals can compete with any team as they have a very explosive offense and an underrated defense with no super star defensive players but have great players on all levels of their defense, with this team being led by Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase. You’ve seen it in the playoffs last year that they can get very far if they aren’t injury riddled.

7. Minnesota Vikings

With the Vikings having one of the best records in football through 11 weeks, the Vikings have shown to be a very explosive offense, but some weeks have struggled versus top teams in the league in Philadelphia and Dallas, but with having arguably the best receiver in football and best skilled position players all around this Vikings team, they have a lot of potential but due to a limited quarterback, they are number seven on my list.

6. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have proven they can week out to have arguably the best defense in football, but with an inconsistent offense led by quarterback Dak Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy. This team has to get over the hurdle of making mistakes and penalties which caused him in last year’s playoffs.

5. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles have the best record in football, but with an unproven head coach and quarterback, the Eagles need to show the league that they can compete with the top teams in the playoffs.

4. Buffalo Bills

The reasoning behind the Bills being number four is the fact that through the last couple weeks they have really struggled and are not consistent weekend and week out due to the quarterback and running game being inconsistent, the Bills on any given week can be the best team in football, but can also lose a game from their own mistakes.

3. Miami Dolphins,

The Dolphins have arguably the most explosive offense in the league with superstar receivers, a very good tight end and a head coach, who looks to be a top coach in this league even in his first year.

2. San Francisco 49ers

With this team, having the best all-around roster in the NFL on any given Sunday they can beat anybody and comfortably. Even though many fans and media members being down on 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garrappolo, this 49ers roster is by far the most well rounded roster in the league.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs being by far the top team in the league. As of today it doesn’t look like anybody can compete with Mahomes and this offense, with the top quarterback, head coach combo in this league with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, this offense has been humming all year long and it doesn’t look like they’re going to be slowing down anytime soon.

Recapping the 49ers Cardinals Monday night game

Capping off week 11 of the NFL season. We have the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico. With this wild NFC West matchup this game had potential to be one of the better games of the season except for Kyler Murray will miss this game due to a lingering hamstring injury, this will be Murray’s second consecutive game missed and most likely eliminate the Cardinals from playoff contention and end their season. Let’s go through each half of football and give my overall thoughts.

With both teams struggling in the first quarter the 49ers came out swinging in the second quarter and scored a touchdown off a Jimmy Garoppolo touchdown pass to wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, Cardinals superstar, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had a nice first half and has looked to have a great connection with quarterback Colt McCoy. Colt did have a crucial pick in the mid second quarter, and really gave the 49ers another chance to take a quick lead.

The second half is all about the Niners as quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had one of his best games of his career with four passing touchdowns, two to tight end George Kittle and two to receiver Brandon Aiyuk. This game was an absolute blowout as the 49ers won 38-10 and Cardinals quarterbacks Colt McCoy and Tracy McSorley struggled with this top tier 49ers defense, both of them had no touchdowns and an interception.

The 49ers look to get back on track and improve their win record as the Cardinals go to keep their playoff hopes alive in hopes that star quarterback Kyler Murray returns shortly. The 49ers advance to 6-4 as the Cardinals fall to 4-7 on the year.

NFL Sunday my 3 biggest takeaways

Week 11 in the NFL was nothing short of spectacular, some underdogs won and some teams are still on fire. Let’s go through my three biggest takeaways from Sunday’s games and why they should or shouldn’t be worried about their season.

Great Cowboys or bad Vikings?

Are the Cowboys real contenders or are the Minnesota Vikings fake contenders? I believe it’s more of the Minnesota Vikings being fake contenders as the Vikings got blown out 40-3 at home in the 4 o’clock window on Sunday, the offensive line for Minnesota just couldn’t handle the Cowboys pass rush and it showed with Kirk Cousins having to rush throws and Cousins was sacked multiple times. Credit to the Cowboys though they did come in this game and really control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

NFC East fake contenders?

Are the NFC East full of fake contenders? Sort of, with the Philadelphia Eagles barely squeezing out a win against the helpless Indianapolis Colts. These Eagles should have won by more than a single point, including down double digits in the fourth quarter. The New York Giants also got blown out by the Detroit Lions at home by double digits and Daniel Jones reverted back to the player we all know he is. The Dallas Cowboys had an excellent win and nothing else has to be said for Dallas. The Washington Commanders blew out the helpless Houston Texans without Chase Young, including a massive defensive effort, including multiple interceptions and a defensive touchdown.

AFC contenders, Chiefs and….

Besides the Kansas City Chiefs, who are the top AFC contenders? Besides the Kansas City Chiefs who look to be the top team there doesn’t look to be a close second, with the Buffalo Bills struggling for the last month and other AFC teams having a massive hole in their rosters, the only team that can really give Kansas City trouble is the red hot Miami Dolphins who have arguably the best and most explosive offense.

Reviewing the Packers Titans Thursday night game

With both teams coming off huge wins, they both like to keep their winning streak alive, the Packers look to get back into the NFC playoff race while the Titans look to increase the lead on the crumbling AFC south. Let’s go through each half and my biggest takeaways for each team.

With both teams starting off hot in scoring a touchdown, each of them really struggled in the second quarter to score much and pull away going into the halftime but with each quarterback having a passing touchdown the first half was a pretty even matchup. With Aaron Rodgers continuing to grow his rapport with rookie wide receiver Christian Watson, Watson did catch a touchdown from Rogers. While Ryan Tannehill also threw a touchdown to his backup running back Dontrell Hillard.

With Derek Henry having another great game he really did it all yesterday with two total touchdowns, including a rushing and passing touchdown, Henry is truly a special player and you got to see that again last night. Titans tight end Austin Hooper also had a good night with two touchdowns, one from Tannehill and one from Derek Henry. The Titans just pulled away in the second half making Green Bay have to throw the ball and play catch-up for most of the second half. Aaron Rodgers also had a nice game with two touchdowns and no picks, with both of his touchdowns to rookie receiver Christian Watson once again, the Packers really struggled in the run game against the Titans but with the Titans pulling away in the second half Green Bay didn’t have the time to run the ball.

Overall I believe the Packers are one more loss away from missing the playoffs, and Tennessee is really rolling now. Titans beat the Packers 27-17 as the. The Packers fall to 4-7 on the year as the Titans advanced to 7-3.
